We proved students from all backgrounds can succeed at the same levels.
Success By The Numbers
How We Did It
Predictive Analytics
The university is nationally recognized as the leader in data-driven advising. With our early warning tracking system, struggling students get the timely interventions they need to get back on track for success in their college courses and programs of study. Our triggers initiate more than 50,000 face-to-face visits with advisers each year, ensuring our students get the help they need to earn their degrees.
Academic Support
Our approach to improve academic outcomes is not to change the nature of the students but to change the nature of our institution to better serve them. By re-envisioning our approach to our first-year students’ experiences, providing adaptive learning courses and peer tutoring opportunities, we have improved graduation rates across the board.
Financial Support
A data-driven approach to the awarding of financial aid ensures support is given to students who are in need and likely to succeed when their need is met. This represents a shift in perspective, away from distributing funds as a response to financial need alone, and toward an approach that is first and foremost motivated by an interest in eliminating non-academic barriers to student success.

By re-envisioning our approach to our freshman students’ experiences, providing adaptive learning courses and peer tutoring opportunities, we have improved graduation rates across the board.
Financial Support
A data-driven approach to the awarding of financial aid ensures support is given to students who are both in need and who are likely to succeed when their need is met. This represents a shift in perspective, away from distributing funds as a response to financial need alone, and toward an approach that is first and foremost motivated by an interest in eliminating non-academic barriers to student success.
